    Illegal liquor Seizure and Destruction by East Siang Tax & Excise Dept, with the able assistance of WASE(Women Against Social Evils)
    Huge Quantities of Illegal Liquors Seized and Destroyed by East Siang Tax & Excise Dept, with the able assistance of WASE(Women Against Social Evils) On 04.05.2021, Tax & Excise Department, East Siang, along with WASE, the dedicated NGO fighting against social evils, jointly conducted checking of illegal selling of liquors in unauthorised shops, like groceries, ghumties, restaurants, etc. The joint team conducted a search at Paglek, Jarku, GTC and Raneghat areas. Thousands of bottles of beer and IMFL were seized and destroyed on-site. Further legal actions on the violators will follow. Three standing teams have been constituted for controlling illegal liquor sales in the District. All citizens of East Siang are requested to inform the Dept. of any illegal sales of Liquor in their locality.

It strives to achieve the twin needs of preventing the manufacture, import, transport, distribution and sale of illicit liquor and attaining the full realizable excise revenue potential of the state.
